Date Night at Home

The last time we had a date night?  Well, let me think.

There was the time about three years ago when we spent New Year’s Eve in Minnesota.  Since my mom was there to cover for us, we snuck out for 30 minutes and ran to get an ice cream cone at DQ.

 

There was also the time about a year and a half ago when Jose’s brother was in town and we ran into Austin to browse South Congress for almost two hours.

 

And, there was the time my sister came for Christmas.  One evening while she was here, she and Johnny watched the kids while Jose and I drove around for an hour trying to find something to do.  We soon realized we had no idea what to do and didn’t want to spend any money, so we came home.  I think we stopped at Target to pick up some groceries, but I have a feeling that doesn’t count…

 

Yeah, we aren’t so very good at date night.  Why?

Austin, Year 4, Day 14: Husband Survival Kit

I saw this over at The Dating Divas and thought it would be fun to do for Jose.  I know that sometimes, he feels like my world is too busy for him, so I try to find little things like this to remind him that he’s important, too!

You can download the card HERE, but you’ll notice I did mine a bit different.  I typed out the text myself, selected a different font and used scrapbook paper instead of their polkadots.  Not that I don’t love polkadots.  I’m just a tad partial to stars.  :)

Print the card out, add scrapbook paper if desired, partner with a bag of M&M’s, and there you go!
