Crockpot Barbeque

Posted on

Oh my, I found the yummiest recipe for barbecue.  Okay, it’s not real barbecue.  (I may not be a Texan, but Texas barbecue has definitely found a place in my heart!)  But it’s convenient and it tastes yummy.

Thought I’d quickly share it with you in case you are in need of a good crockpot recipe to get through the busyness of the week.  I didn’t take a picture and I’m not sure where I got the recipe to begin with.  If you know, please share so I can give credit where credit is due!

Crockpot Barbecue

1 3 lb. boneless chuck roast

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. onion powder

1 18 oz. bottle barbecue sauce

salt and pepper to taste

Put roast in crockpot.  Sprinkle with garlic and onion powders.  Add salt and pepper.  Pour barbecue sauce over meat.  Cook on low 6-8 hours.  Remove meat, shred, and return to crockpot for another hour.  Serve hot.  We put ours on hamburger buns for barbecue sandwiches.  So, so yum.  And easy.

Today’s treats didn’t turn out so well…  They taste great, but my versions aren’t so very pretty…  So, instead, I thought I’d just send you to the sites that inspired me.  :)

First, you need to try these super yum Irish Cream Ice Cream Cupcakes from Bubbly Nature Creations.  (The pic is from there, too.) Total yummo.  Especially the cake layer on the bottom.  Oh my.

Next, check out these super easy Cream Cheese Mints at Cupcake Vixens.  Yes, this pic is theirs.

I suggest that you hop over and try these out now.  Meanwhile, I’m going to try to make something pretty.  :)

Cool Finds: The Jam Labelizer

The Jam Labelizer

I discovered this awesome website about a year ago, but today, I thought I’d share it with you.  Why?  Because earlier, I suggested that you make yourself some strawberry preserves since strawberries are on sale in March!  What better way to pretty up your strawberry preserves than to make your own pretty labels!

I have used this site before and loved it.  You input your own text and can select the size you need to print.  I could go on and on about how cool it is, but no need.  Just hop over there and see for yourselves!  Click the picture and it will take you to the site.

Hamburger Vegetable Soup

I thought I’d go ahead and round out the collection of soup recipes today.  This week, I have shared recipes for Vegetable Beef Stew and Cheeseburger Soup.  Then, I found this recipe for Hamburger Vegetable Soup over at Money Saving Mom.  (Money Saving Mom also gets the credit for the photo.  It’s hers, not mine.  At all.  My pictures don’t look that good.)  This soup is some of the best hamburger soup I have ever tasted.  Super, super yum.  Click the photo for recipe.
