Long-time followers know that this blog used to be chockfull of my opinions on various things, as well as commentary on our day to day life as we tried to achieve all our dreams…at once. Then, things changed and now you see that there are very, very few of my opinions on here anymore. Except on things like whether I prefer banana pudding or vanilla pudding…
While I still feel that the new blog is much safer for my family, there is something I need to quickly address.
I’ve been a little under the weather the last few days, but I didn’t want that to get in the way of making fun fall stuff. But…between being sick and LOTS of homework, I just didn’t have a lot of time or energy left. Then I found these nifty and easy parfaits.
Have you ever seen a picture of something yummy only to find out it’s not exactly what you thought? That’s what happened with today’s project. I saw a picture on Pinterest that I thought was what I wanted, but when I followed the link, it was not exactly what I was looking for. So, I decided to just go with what I thought it was going to be and it turned out okay.
Yay it’s Treat Thursday! This week, we made Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt. Actually, I made it yesterday, but it wasn’t done until today, so it counts for today. Got this recipe from Babble.

After hearing everyone talking about their Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes and knowing that there is no way I would spend that kind of money, I decided to make my own.
(Thanks to Chris for letting me use her blender. Yay!)
The recipe comes from Averie Cooks and it is pretty yum, I must say.

Today, we are celebrating the first day in a loooong time that it has not hit the upper 90s (or higher). Right now, it is 82 degrees in the Austin area and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I know low 80s isn’t exactly fall, but I’m just appreciating what I have!
So, to celebrate, we decided to make Pumpkin Spice Fudge.
We got the recipe from Aunt Peg’s Recipe Box. Since it was soooo good, we didn’t have to make any changes to it, so what follows is her recipe.
